HeaterMeals Representative Highlighted in Xavier Magazine

8/5/10 - Richard Harris, a 1986 graduate of Xavier University, is now a West Chester, Ohio business owner.  His company, P3 Secure, supplies products for survival in emergencies.  One of those products is HeaterMeals Self-Heating Meals.  In fact, P3 Secure is the exclusive MBE (Minority Business Enterprise) representative for HeaterMeals Self-Heating Meals.  The Summer 2010 issue of the Xavier Magazine highlighted Harris and his business in an article entitled, "Survival Mode: Thinking Ahead."

The article features a large color photograph of Harris surrounded by HeaterMeals Plus Self-Heating Meal Kits, and Cafe2Go Self-Heating Beverage Kits.  The photo shoot took place at the Cincinnati headquarters of HeaterMeals in April, on our production floor.

Harris had worked with a defense contractor in disaster areas prior to starting his business in 2007.  The former XU basketball player noted that citizens in a disaster needed food that was formulated differently than MREs.  "When disruption occurs, the meal is the most important thing of the day, so we wanted it to be as normal as possible."  that's when Harris found HeaterMeals.  Our self-heating meals and meal kits are designed for the diets of everyday citizens, with less sodium and fewer calories than MREs, and no trans fats.

P3 Secure works with government agencies, relief organizations, individuals and corporations.   The article reported that, "Many businesses are clients, Harris says, because they understand the need to take care of employees who might be stranded in an emergency, but individual consumers are harder to convince."
