American Red Cross Uses HeaterMeals at Presidential Inauguration
| 1/18/09 - During the Inauguration ceremonies of our 56th President, Red Cross volunteers assisted the crowds that gathered at the National Mall. They provided directions, escorts, served food, and helped those in need. Volunteers were drawn from the five Red Cross Chapters that make up the National Capital Region. Thos chapters are in Alexandria, Arlington County, Loudoun County, Prince William and the National Capital Area, which includes District of Columbia, Montgomery County, Prince George's County and cities of Fairfax and Falls Church. |

As volunteers worked into the night, they were fed HeaterMeals 3 Self-Heating Meal Kits. HeaterMeals 3 are specially packaged for extended storage up to three years. They feature a healthy fruit snack, M&Ms Chocolate Candies, a Chocolate Squeezer, and a drink mix for a bottle of water. All HeaterMeals Self-Heating Meals come with utensils, a napkin and a serving tray, which made it easy for tired volunteers to eat.
