RiverTrek 2009 Explorers Will Eat HeaterMeals

     7/27/09 - HeaterMeals will be supplying 150 self-heating meals to the 13th Annual RiverTrek 2009.  It is the 7th consecutive year that HeaterMeals has participated in the event.  The HeaterMeals entrees will be served in remote areas, away from restaurants and electricity, as Riverfest explorers travel the Little Miami River in Southwest Ohio.

     The 5 day 4 night canoeing and camping journey down the river brings 35 teens together from around the Cincinnati, Ohio area.  Sponsored by the Cincinnati Recreation Commission’s (CRC) Outdoor Adventure Committee, and Morgan’s Canoe Adventures in Learning Program, the event will be an exploration of natural beauty, eco-science and just plain fun.  Teens will paddle 60+ miles of the Little Miami River, in canoes and kayaks. The RiverTrek 2009 team will be traveling down the Little Miami River as a group of young men and women representing a broad range of Cincinnati’s youth; from the central city to the suburbs.
